Dr. Diana Tong Li

As a teenager, Dr. Diana Tong Li suffered from arthritis. In response, she tried prescription after prescription but experienced negative side effects. It wasn’t until her mother took her to see a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that Dr. Li was healed. She found comfort and relief with acupuncture and TCM, and as a result, enjoyed her teenage years pain-free. Dr. Li was grateful and inspired by TCM. In 1980 at age sixteen, she entered Guiyang Traditional Chinese Medicine University to study Western medicine and TCM, eventually choosing acupuncture as her major.

After graduating she founded the acupuncture department at the Shenzhen Second People’s Hospital and worked there treating patients. To pursue her master’s degree, she went to Guangzhou TCM University. She later earned her Ph.D. in TCM from Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine.

More than forty years have passed since she began her career in medicine and now Dr. Li is a world-renowned expert in Traditional Chinese Medicine, having successfully treated more than one-hundred-thousand patients and taught hundreds of students. As the founder and main professor at the Canadian College of Acupuncture & TCM she shares her knowledge with the next generation.

On November 1st, 2013 in Sydney, Australia, Dr. Li was elected to the Executive Committee of the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies to represent Canada. She has since been re-elected two more times and will continue to serve into the next decade.
